Teaching Style

I want to draw the truth from the text or scripture and present it in an inspiring and motivating way. Whenever I come to a conclusion, I want to challenge people with the same foundational question: What does this have to do with me?

My Approach

Vision Setter and a servant-shepherd.

I love to ask others to come with me and help ME lead, then ask them to come with me and let me help THEM lead. and then ask them to take what we have learned and lead without me while I train another person. I desire to allow others to take responsibility without micro-managing them. I am intentional, organized, and driven.

As a pastor and church planter, I have acquired the shepherding leadership skills to hire church staff and develop teams for effective and productive ministry.
Growing People

While I have a wide variety of experience helping families, my passion is to lead men to grow, become whole, healthy, and satisfied with who they are spiritually with their families and the church.
Budgeting & Tasks

I have budgeting and fundraising skills and various financial abilities required for leading a productive ministry. Leading design teams and commercial construction for nonprofits and churches are among some recent things I have led.

True Man

What should it mean to be a True Man? By and large, our culture tells us that masculinity is toxic. Toxic masculinity is a popular term these days. It's a term used to describe harmful and social destructiveness like misogyny, homophobia, and violent domination. Most today describe masculinity as an attitude or set of social guidelines that are stereotypically associated with manliness. So, the term "toxic masculinity" then is meant to imply that the idea of masculinity or manliness is inherently flawed and bad.

The Biblical True Man

When David was close to death, he told Solomon his son: 2:2, “I am about to die. Be strong and become a man! 2:3 Do the job the Lord your God has assigned you by following his instructions and obeying his rules, commandments, regulations, and laws as written in the law of Moses. Then you will succeed in all you do and seek to accomplish, – 1 Kings 2:1-3

Man, I love that challenge! David says to Solomon, “Son, BE A MAN!” The Hebrew meaning of that passage suggests being a “servant,” “champion,” and “great man.” What guy doesn’t want to be a champion and a great man?

God’s Own Heart

You’ve heard the expression many times before... “A man after God’s own heart.” What does it mean to be a person after the heart of God? Does it mean to model God-like qualities like love, generosity and compassion? That’s part of it. Does it mean to pant after God, regardless of personal cost. We’re getting closer. Could it possibly mean to so passionately pursue after God...to become so entwined with Him that you actually share His own heartbeat? Now I think we’re getting somewhere! Is it conceivable that a human being could be so enraptured with the divine character that his or her own heart would begin to beat with the very justice and compassion of God?
